O/O work comp insurance

    What does everyone suggest for Work Comp Insurance for single truck O/O operation I'm IL based , Just reinstated my authority trying to line up brokers I see they the state minimum required

    All states allow sole proprietors to exempt themselves from Work Comp insurance but companies you lease on to can require you have it in their contracts.

    This is brokers requiring a copy of work comp certificate an release form

    Your home state must require WC.
    Mine doesn't, and I have never ran into this with a broker.

    The broker will have a clause in their contract, some more extravagant than others but in the end they are just saying that your signature is your agreement that you are in compliance with your state law. Never had I have one require a certificate as proof.
