Sounds about right for Maybrook, might be less miles though, that sounds high from what my friends tell me. Definitely no teams at Maybrook, they do not have a single sleeper on the property except the Canadian trucks from Reimer. Not sure exactly how their extra board/on call works but usually you will have an hour or two to report to the terminal, so you are going to want to always have your bag ready and rest as much as possible.
To answer about shifting gears, floating is very easy once you learn how, but you may want to use the clutch until you get the feel of each of your different trucks. The new Freightliners and Volvos will shift very different from the older trucks they have, the newer engines have a very different operating range compared to the older ones.
Does anybody know anything about YRC road driver out of Maybrook New York
