I hope so... took me a while to make a final decision. I read a lot of your posts.

There old now but I'm glad they helped.

True but it still gives an idea. The training with a trainer is a little different per the recruiter but we shall see.

I'm currently finishing my 200hrs behind the wheel with swift and I'm ready to go over to venture logistics out of indy. I'm really hoping I don't regret the change over. I was told I could get a local run that gets me home every night and off on the weekend's with quality pay. Is this possible or are they blowing smoke?
-
How does it go? My best friend works out of Chicago there and says that a new driver of little skill got a local run paying 50cents a mile and he gets close to 400miles daily & he's home every night and off on weekends. That's why I'm coming over. To get exactly that

If you live in Indy or close by, and Venture isn't what you expected, look at Old Dominion Freight Line. They have P&D which is pickup & delivery and they have line haul which is drop & hook.JRell Thanks this.

I stay in northwest indiana, 20min from chicago. Are there any close there?
-
Venture does have good local lanes in Indy. That's where a lot of new drivers are working
JRell Thanks this. -
Probably several terminals around your area. Google : Old Dominion Freight Lines
That company prefers you go in person and ask for an application & interview. Hard working teams there can make $100K for each driver.
@JRell
Google : Dart Express for more local/linehaul jobs. I think in your area it's known as Fil-Mor, but the Dart Express website will give you the info on that company.Last edited: Oct 10, 2016
