hey everyone, i have 17yrs experience, no tickets or accidents, mainly been running produce coast to coast, ltl freight, military freight in dry vans the entire 16yrs, but have been interested in running step decks for a while now. I figure its better now than never.
What are some good company's out there who will train or give an experienced driver an opportunity. I pulled flatbed about 10yrs ago for almost a year, but that's too long ago for most to consider experience and thats understandable. I have above average common sense and attention to detail. ( we have to add that these days lol) (typo repaired, inside joke)
I also live in Las Vegas, which may not be the best option as far as location goes but i know there's plenty of company's that run through here. I'd rather not be gone weeks and weeks at a time.. I don't mind running out for a week or two, but the whole gone for a month or longer, i'm not interested in that.
any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated... I understand this is almost like starting over again with 17yrs experience, but step decks appear to be more versatile which is something I'm interested in.

You might try Pride Transportation in Utah. I've seen some stepdecks behind their trucks. But maybe @Chinatown knows some other places for you to look.
SouthwestVeas and Chinatown Thank this. -
"The Waggoners Trucking" may have something like that. They have several types of flatbeds. One is lowboy hauling sprinter vans from the factory.

I certainly hope your resume doesn't look like that.

Reddaway
Estes Express LinesSouthwestVeas Thanks this. -
those are great suggestions too, i've considered a few freight companies but I'll need to add my doubles and hazmat.. I believe it's required by those companies if I'm not mistaken
