Busting out a small driver window locking my keys in the truck with no spare and no time to wait for a locksmith on a Friday afternoon in Newburgh NY. Getting a failure to obey traffic device (No trucks) while safely turning around in a municipal lot in Alaquippa PA, $170. Busting my cab extender doing a tight turnaround at a shipper in Fairburn GA. Basically, multiple preventables in a nine month period.

Waiting for my DAC to see how much shows up on it before I think about trying somewhere else.

####. Sounds like you really screwed up some stuff over a short period

Maybe trucky too longy for me to drivey!!

Good luck to you. Probably done yourself a favor. Cargo is a crappy company at best. The guy that owns it thinks more of the electronical micro managing gadgets and cameras he puts in the trucks than he will ever think of the employees. Why those long timers stay there I'll never figure out..evidently like it.
I'm hoping the best for your DAC report but I think we both know what the results will be. Again, best of luck to you.Last edited: Oct 12, 2016

I agree about the long timers. They talk about how good it was when tony was alive and the admit it's a lot different now. Some of them are making fairly high CPM those guys with multiple starts on the their trucks. Might be the only reason they stay. I'm home more and make about 20grand more a year at my current employer. I don't think I could ever work for cargo or a company that had a similar amount of micromanaging.

That 65 mph thing hit me wrong. I'm no speed demon but if I got the chance to roll down a hill at 70 I did. Now I spend way too much time checking the speedometer.
smurf-316 Thanks this. -
Yeah, after raising the governed speed from 63 to 65 last year. I am guessing they won't raise the speed again. I am predicting a mass exodus.

It's always good to be safe. I understand it is a huge liability to have a 80,000 pound billboard running around the country. But there comes a point in time when you have to leave the driver to drive and trust his or her judgement. All the safety gadgets and rules in the world won't do any good if the driver has poor judgement. I remember getting chewed out one time because the camera caught me with no seat belt on and I was in a PARKING LOT!!! I don't mind safety. I've always tried to make good decisions and not do stupid stuff. But at some companies such as CT they shove it down your throat until you choke on it. I mean you had a safety class every 2 months of the year. At some point you have to learn to trust the driver you hired to make good decisions. Some of these companies have just gone stupid with all the safety crap.
runningman0661 and gntorres61 Thank this. -
Yep, definitely won't miss the smart cruise! The lane departure fart sound was a pain too, but useful.
