Is it possible to make good money hauling containers (intermodal)?

    Depends on what you want to do. Kiswani seems to have happy O/O. Personally, I think HUB pays to low.

    Ya thing is they dont want o/o. But i want to be a o/o lol. I know the top o/o at kiswani n he told me stay clear 4 now. But i want to do this. Being company is so chill. But if i dont risk now when will i.

    Anyone know about container port group? I live close to Columbus Ohio. Talked to a recruiter said anything 101-250 miles out is 1.36/mile loaded, & .92/empty plus fsc. That average for intermodal on the mileage side? The shorter run paid better but the waiting & swapping loads several times a day I'd rather do 1 run. Ideally @ least put in 400 miles a day.

    intermodal wasn't working in the nyc area anymore just shut down my truck and took a job as a yard jockey at 25 dollars an hour

    I couldn't cut it hauling intermodal, not enough money. I went otr with a flat.

    too much competition and prices are bad, luckily for me I worked for girbert express for a few weeks as a owner operator and helping the yard jockeys and they offered a full time position and I took it I still have the "owner operator" status so nobody messes with me
