So I started going to the gym was there yesterday and today. It amazing I've forgotten how excersizing can give you endorphin's. Anyhow gyms not bad, today I ran out of time and gas at the end of the day. I did 19,400lbs at work today and then went to the gym and worked out there for almost 2 hours I think I got close to 1,000 calories burned and I burned 1,300 calories yesterday at the gym. Anyhow it's not bad and I don't mind going and that's the last I'll say about it because it really doesn't make for good reading.

    Nice.

I'd personally rather pump iron at some hole in the wall, rather than some overpriced Barbie and Ken meat market disguised as a gym franchise.

    Ditto.

I just go to the city rec center it's not that expensive and they have good equipment and it's not that crowded we have the gym franchise barbie and ken meat markets around here and I can't pull the trigger on those, that's not my thing and I won't do it. The city recreation center isn't hole in the wall, but it's not Barbie and Ken it's more suited for the regular people LOL.

For years my dad lifted weights at this old school hole in the wall place that would be exactly what you are talking about. The place ended up going out of business however it was in business for 20+ years when it went under. It was though just that a hole in the wall old school weight lifting place.

I can't lift weights to the music played on these modern pop stations either. Give me an adrenaline booster, like this....

One word; WALKMAN! Then you can listen to what ever you want.
After my heart surgery, I did three months of outpatient cardiac physical therapy at the hospital.
After insurance said "that's all we will pay for," I joined a gym right here in town. Supposed to be available 24/7 with your membership.
It sure didn't work that way for me. I joined in early November, and found that I could get in any time I wanted. Then I tried to get in the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Found I was locked out. Found a sign on the door saying the office would be closed until Monday. Monday turned into Tuesday before any one showed up at the office. And then it was some snotty broad that didn't want to talk to me. Just happened that the owner showed up before I left that day. I explained my displeasure to him. He asked Miz Snot what happened, and she laughed and told him she had made a mistake on the computer, and locked my card out.
The owner seemed very matter of fact about it and said to me, ok, that explains that. I told him I wanted a discount on my next month's dues. He told me, "I can't do that."
So I left that gym, and haven't been to one since....

whatever i packed before i left the house.....

usually some fruit for breakfast, a sandwich and some chips for lunch, and crackers/cookies/granola bars for an emergency snack if #### hits the fan and i wont be home for dinner....

once in a blue moon, ill eat out somewhere that tastes good, but makes me feel like crap.....usually on slow days, when i know i can screw off early, and it wont matter lol

Don, your absolutely right I hate gyms, thank God the city rec center had something totally accommodating.

Gym's are awful @MACK E-6 is 100% right they are total "Ken and Barbie Meat Markets" staffed by a bunch of a-holes.

Where do you guys like to eat up in Canada, I'm trying to think Ontario (It's been years since I've been up that way) but Tim Hortons and Pizza Pizza are pretty popular in Canada.

Planet Fitness has signs all over the place that say they don't tolerate what they refer to as "gymtimidation".
