Is common practice on all trucks running on the Philipines most southern island.
Impressive when you see them comîng down a hill in a massive cloud off steam.

As both being tough and needing a very good set off skills i would nominate something i have not done myself.
Heck it is even on a different continent.
Pulling a 3 trailer,2 deck lifestock roadtrain in the Australian outback looks to me as hardcore as it can get.
Hell, most OTR truckers would be tired just from walking around it. -
Couple off big drums with steel straps mouted to the chassis.
Plastic tubes running to all brakes.
At the end off each tube you insert a steel tube which you flatten to regulate how much water flows .
Stop before the downhill, open the main valve and go.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
I tried to find a video, then my ADD kicked in and I got distracted. I could watch these videos all day long. I always laugh when I hear about preventables mentioned on here. Busted mudflaps, airlines, hittin' the ditch, etc. is just another day in the bush. #### I can't wait for winter!

I am walking to that Road Train. Maybe a train of 10 oil tankers. But none of that here legally in the USA. I guess at some point I will have to fly down there and give it a go on a temp aussie license or something.daf105paccar Thanks this.

Avoiding hard work was why I got my CDL. Now I just sit in a air-ride seat, listen to the radio, and adjust the air conditoner. My cup holder isn't right where I want it, but we all have our own struggles.

Unloading tires. I did it once a 53 footer filled front to back and floor to roof in the middle of summer in h town. I thought I was gonna die half way thru but there are gigs where that's the drivers everyday job. It falls in the food service category with Unloading but without a hand truck.

I would think thee hardest highly skilled driving job would a SWIFT truck. Look at the precentages. For me the toughtest driving jobs were triples, long logger, smooth bore tanks and stringing trucks. Think driving sucks, run an excavator on the side of a rock pile all day long. 2 more weeks to go. I can do this.

I did the same thing in Houston years ago in the middle of summer. It was a multi stop Walmart load too all around town and also Galveston. It wasn't the most fun I've ever had, but I survived and I'm glad that I've never done it since.Rubberduckin Thanks this.
