Hammer works well in those instances.
I do get them a lot as I live right down the street from the distribution center. Ask away.

Sweet love running volvo light loads dh,but I also like running to Jacksonville.Looks like youll maybe be in line for a load of paper out of Riceboro,Ga,just been my experience though.
Redtwin Thanks this. -
This started out as a HPh load going to Lake Charles, La. I had requested a 34 at home. I was to pick my wife back up, too. I ended up with a 34 in Richmond and a load to Murfreesboro, Tn, and no wife.

Waiting for next load now at the local Pilot.Finfn1372 Thanks this. -
I have concidered getting a rubber mallet for such situations.RebelChick and Finfn1372 Thank this.

Yea, it seems (still awaiting scientific data) that as soon as I get east of a line from Pensacola to Nashville to Indianapolis to Chicago, I have to add 4 hrs to my GPS's eta. West of that line, I only add 1hr. I try to avoid the east as much as possible. But, I must go where I can safely go when they tell me.
(Note* The preceeding was in no attempt to be negative or whining. I was only stating facts as I know them. I reserve the right to be wrong, and will happily eat crow if proven wrong. Just please include salsa with the crow. Tastes better that way. ) -
Not picking on you, but I wonder how I make it 630 miles in a shift including a delivery and a pick up (at the same place at least), while having to pass through Nashville, Louisville, Cincinnati, and Dayton. If I applied your reasoning, it would be impossible. Again, not picking on you KD5.
MidWest_MacDaddy and KD5AXG Thank this. -
My luck, I suppose. I rarely make a good run out this way.
Just got a DH to Forest City. Laters.mitrucker Thanks this.
