    Hello fellow drivers,

Having held a life long interest in the trucking industry, I've decided now is the time to finally turn the dream into reality, having owned (and sold) a few different business in a variety of industries and countries over the years, I think I have a decent understanding of "business" aspects of a said business, what I don't have in this particular field is hands on experience, although having shipped products around the world I have a decent understanding of logistics and supply chains.

What I'm contemplating is trying to locate a suitablely experienced O/O (or two) that would be prepared to take me on road for a week or so (in a non driving capacity) to show me the ropes and some of the basic aspects of the business, for this I'd be more than happy to cover my costs for the week, along with a suitable payment for your time which we can discuss on a case by case basis.

If this is of interest to anyone please let me know by reply below and we can continue the conversation.

    Regards

    James

You need to state your location, what type of freight you want to work with, regional vs otr etc.

Fair point, will be based in Austin TX, from late November onwards, but happy to travel country wide for the right opportunity, as to particular freight types I'd ideally partner up with a person that has experience in most aspects of the trucking industry, as at this point I haven't narrowed down the particular niche I want to operate in, except for reefer holds the least appeal, due to increased liability of the product you are carrying.

You will also have to probably sign a waiver releasing any liabilities towards the carrier and it would be if the carriers insurance would allow a non-family member to ride.

    AkinNAUY Thanks this.

Thanks Mark, duly noted, more than happy to sign a waiver releasing liability.
