I have two different radar apps to see what I'm going to be driving into, but for something to tell me if I'll need a jacket today I have a link to the national weather service forecast page bookmarked on my home screen.
What's the best weather app ?

Already impressed because it instantly brought up my location unlike the weather channel that lags days behind me .dngrous_dime Thanks this. -
I'm late as usual but.... I also use Weather Bug

Try Weather Underground. I used the weather channel or weather bug apps for years and switched to underground recently. Blows the other two out of the water.

I'm going to look that weather bug up also. Weather channel is just a PIA to use, and even the NWS isn't all that clear sometimes. You'd think someone would just KISS.

I've used RadarNow (http://www.radarnow.net/) but it got too spammy for me with the notification messages. It would be great if it weren't for that BS. Nice simple app.

Weather underground seems to be the best. It's the one pilots and mariners like to use.

Weather underground (app) is probably the most comprehensive and allows quick and easy saving of unlimited favorites.
This will also put a red alerts notice up near the top listing specific hazards that may be happening in the next few days such as extreme winter weather, severe storms, etc
But for a broader FUTURE overview at a glance I also use these every day when considering cross country routing.

I've got all the ones mentioned here but my go to is the weatherbug app. It seems to be the best for me, your mileage may vary.
bzinger Thanks this.
