I had to look it up. I'm not really in tune with internet slang. And looking back I owe you an apology. I was a bit rude.

I was, at one time, the jerk who yelled "La Migra" in a restaurant to watch the kitchen help run out the back. I have a lot of ground to make up for those days. i'm trying to be a better man. TRYING!

Regional language differences are interesting. What most of you guys call "dunnage" we call "stickers" at least when dealing with lumber. Other places call lumber that has been run through a planer "dressed" we call it "surfaced". (I wonder if some of you guys call rough lumber "naked") In the old days we called it a logging "show" around here, it's gradually changed to be called a "side" as it is in OR & WA.

In the area where I grew up we had our own regional dialect, Boontling. Although I didn't grow up a true Boonter since I was from the Deep End region, way on the wrong side of the Mason-Dixon Line, I still learned from friends in school, especially nonch harpin. I could still probably harp enough to shark a bright lighter.

 

We would say it's a dish washing machine, but in Spanish, it would be said as a machine of washing dishes or something to that effect. It's funny in a way, either side is going to know immediately that it isn't you first language whichever side you are coming from.
