The only thing that is different on my QC when logging in and out is my hours need to be updated to reflect the logged out hours. Everything else stays the same. Strange.

Well what I meant was..I needed to be able to be home everyday lol and yes it's very expensive. It runs 4.50's in the 1/8 mile around 159mph. Basically in less than 4 seconds from a dead stop its almost at 160mph lol. Haven't ran in the 1/4 mile..should run high 6s at near or over 200mph.

Other than last nights detour back to the shipper, I have been pegging my clocks the last several nights. Ran down to under 5 minutes twice and tonight stopped with a minute left on my 70...
Whew... thought for sure it was going to bite me. -
Yea it'll give you that face lol

I am a new CDL grad going through the hiring process with Abilene.
I have my physical and orientation dates scheduled, and I'm currently signing all the required forms for employment.
Abilene has a Financial Responsibility Agreement which states drivers will be held financially and legally liable in the event of an accident determined to be caused by driver carelessness or negligence. This financial responsibility shall be covered by salary garnished (including future wages if present pay is insufficient in covering costs).
Question: do all trucking companies have a similar legal and binding agreement? Is this something I should be hesitant about signing?Last edited: Oct 27, 2016

No not all trucking companies require you to sign your life away. Thats why they have insurance. I would not sign it. You are an employee, employer takes the risk and gets the rewards.
fbc91 and Mark_2wain Thank this. -
But again, I've yet to hear of anyone being held to it. Perhaps some of the longer term drivers here would like to chime in if they have? -
But seriously, good question.
I guess we all probably signed that form, but I sure don't remember it. Doesn't mean they Ding you for every little scrap of the bumper. Just gives them options should an employee do something that is "careless or negligent" which results from an accident which damages company equipment.
I assume I signed it...
And I have not lost sleep either way.
Stay Safe,
MD
PS ... WELCOME ABOARD!!!fbc91 Thanks this.
