If you want to pull solo loads go back solo. I hope they don't put solo loads on the team board, that's our freight. I've never seen someone appear to complain so much yet say they are happy doing what they are doing. Remember SNI isn't a team company. Sure they have a little team freight nut they are not a team company. Team freight is expedited freight & running freight too tight for a solo. It doesn't have anything to do with distance.

You'll never get that. Too much competition & not specialized. Any monkey can pull a dry van so it will always be the cheapest freight out there.

Schneider sent out a media message to all teams saying company teams only haul 54% team loads, the rest they pick from the solo division.
They flat out said they use solo loads to connect to team freight.
The point of the message was supposedly if team service was better they would get teams more team freight.
    Ain't that right @Cledus Snow

I just deadheaded from Seymour, Indiana to Chicago.
Thats right, aint nothing going on in Indy, Louisville or Cincinnati.
All the while I know Schneider has endless freight in that area which they are giving to company teams as well.
However team ICs, they'd prefer us deadheading 200+ miles to loads

    Cledus Snow Thanks this.

Those "many occasions" was when i am on the solo board. There is soo much freight on the solo board in the areas i work long deadheads never happen.

We were told many years ago that company teams have first priority on all loads. It's nothing new.

thanks, i gather that you always have a trailer, but that you can take it with you for time off. would they ever let you drop the empty somewhere to take a few days off, or for a few hours to bobtail to go get groceries?

You're generally required to drop your trailer somewhere for TAH.

If you are hooked to a trailer there is no way for the driver to show dropping it and then hooking back. But if its less than 1.5 mi the elog won't kick you to line 3.

I've dropped my empty at an OC or drop lot and then have gone shopping.
On time off i usually tell Schneider to remove the "pick up empty" task off my work assignment and then bobtail out.
