There is no virtue in staying miserable for a year, just so you can say you stayed for a year.
Job hopping is to trucking what rubbing is to racing. It's just part of the gig.
If you are miserable, do what @Chinatown advised and move on.
Unhappy working at May Trucking

You know the LTL companies like Yellow, Roadway, ABF, Old Dominon, FedEx Freight? A linehaul guy takes a trailer of pickups for the day from the terminal one city (lets say Columbus) and drops the entire trailer at the terminal in the destination city (lets say Pittsburgh), then does the same thing to get back home. Easy, good pay, many companies are union, but most of those jobs are working nights.alghazi, Burrito Warrior and street beater Thank this.

Line haul is usually a out and back to the same destination. Say from a dc to a certin store, drop n hook or live unload/load, and back to the dc.Burrito Warrior and milehunter43 Thank this.

Linehauls usually run nights, so if night running ain't your thing.....

Reefer outfits aren't for everyone. They're a love it or hate it type driving job.
Move to Las Vegas! Plenty of good trucking companies hire there. There's also line haul jobs in Las Vegas. No personal income taxes in Nevada.
Here's some companies in Las Vegas or hire from Las Vegas:
Watkins-Shepard - terminal in Las Vegas
KKW Trucking - dry van & hires Las Vegas drivers
Old Dominion - line haul - terminal in Las Vegas
Mountain Valley Express - line haul - terminal in Las VegasLast edited: Oct 30, 2016

Wow, linehaul at night sounds like a great gig to me! I love running at nights because the roads are so much quieter. I also want something with more consistency and me just doing drop-hook from DC1 to DC2, then back again sounds good to me! I'll look into moving into Vegas. Low cost of living + desert environment makes me happy.
I have doubles/triples endorsement but I never had actaul experience doing stuff with them. I'm willing to learn how to do them. Will it be a problem to the linehauls? Will they train me how to hook them up, drop them, etc? -
I know each linehauls is different but in general, what is the pay like? How many hours are they expecting each week? How often do I go back home? What are their general expectations on drivers?
