CPM is only one piece of the puzzle… As mentioned above total miles is important too. If you get twice the miles at a lower CPM you're making more money. Yes you're driving more too but what your goal. Then you also have benefits, Abilene has very good benefits. And many happy drivers.

And some disgruntled ones too… LOL


Edit, and very good freight to. There are no Dollar General accounts at Abilene. The back haul loads suck at times but the company freight is very good freight.

 

tht make sense, abilene been number one on my list for a while. i dnt kno if they hve guaranteed protection pay, where u guarantee at least $600 no matter wht, even if u dnt hve enough miles tht week. like wht i read about on mcleod express website. though they hve their tricky ways to fool u to think might happen. thtd be nice if abilene hve sumthin similar to tht

Abilene trucks governed @ 68 mph. Abilene is one of the best companies out there right now for new drivers.
CPM doesn't mean much at all in trucking; it's the miles and accessorial pays that count. .50 cpm is nothing if the miles aren't there. With all my experience, I was only making .36 cpm, but at the end of the year I made $65K because I ran coast to coast and had good accessorial pays. Was I foolish to work for .36 cpm; heck no because when I filed taxes my W-2 showed $65K.
