If you read the thread, then you'd know what @KD5AXG issues have been here.

Now, @JohnBoy dont get everyone's hopes up to be making as much as you do. Your check has trainer pay in there and that's more than what we make as solo drivers. Plus even when you don't have a student you get better runs than most of us. Not knocking you in any way, just fact, as I think @chralb has discovered as well.

As an FYI for those looking at our little slice of heaven - as a solo driver you can expect an average of 2500 - 3300 miles per week. You do the math.

Lordy! I spent so much time there when I was a "trainee" with a certain company. My "trainer" was a gambling addict, I think.

You'll probably pass a buddy of mine on the way. He was at the 39 in NM last night waiting on a swap. He's in 1677. He said this is the strangest trip out west he's ever had. He took a CA load out of Richmond, dropped it in WM. Picked up another CA load there, is swapping it with a team there at the 39, and getting a different CA load that has more time on it.

I fully agree with what you said. My point was that CPM is not the way to look at it, that's all. Also, not everyone makes .38 per mile. Again, I'm only speaking for myself. And I think our friend, through trial and error will admit, that everyone, including yourself, have said on numerous occasions, give it 6 months then things become a little easier.

My pay does gave trainer pay in it, doing the math it breaks down, YTD this way, 55k solo, 18k trainer pay. I'm done training until after February. Based on that I'll make 83k this year, 65k solo and 18k trainer pay. And because of the training insanity, that's why my wife and I disappear three weeks out of the year.

I'm surprised I haven't been swapped out yet, I'll be 18 hours early on this load.

You must have been one of the 7 AMX trucks I passed yesterday.

Sitting here three hours from WM where a PM has my name on it... and either a 34 or continue rolling on recaps for a bit longer.

    Stay Safe

Nothing beats training someone in a second career move or right out of CDL school the proper way on how to survive I-80 across Wyoming in the winter. $83k? More like brain damage.
