Are their squats or anything like that involved for Swift?

Ok so quick question as well I have a two year DOT medical card but it wasn't for my cdl. At my job I'm required to drive 18 wheelers but it's only around the yard ! I'm going to truck driving school in a month so I was wondering if I need to take a new physical or do I just go with my old card that doesn't have the cdl option checked on it ! ! ?

As long as it was taken with someone on the DOT registry shouldn't be a problem.

The BIG **Thing** to check, and you can do it right now. Take out your card.
Look on the lower right corner. Is it checked YES for Interstate? If it says NO you will need a new card.
Regarding Squats, it really depends on the doctor. For most of them this is a way to make a quick $100 bucks, BP, "Whisper" hearing test, vision check and a strip urine test.

As for other things that can get you kicked out.. The biggest one I'm seeing with the classes that were weeks ahead of me.. They can't drive. Swift will let someone have 3 tries to pass CDL A before they send them home.
Then there is orientation and trainer/mentor meet and greet.. If you're a complete flake and nobody will take you into their truck you could be SOL and shopping for a new company.

Stop by your dmv, and tell them you want to self certify, they give you a form, check the box that says interstate "non exempt" they copy your card and license and that gets you in the database

It's not restricted on my dot card because my license is in South Carolina and my job is in North Carolina so they made it that way due to me driving in NC and living in SC it just works both ways since I'll be getting my cdl next month!

Naw, your cdl will be restricted. Health cards dont care. Cdl under 21 is restricted to the state of issue

    RedRover and Maurice_1221 Thank this.
