They're offering newbies no payments until next year with board looking like it's looking today lmaoooooooo oh boy

 

They'll be the only ones able to make it with what I'm seeing on the board.

 

No Christmas rush anymore...?

 

The board has been as bad as I've seen it since I started. Rates are a joke.

 

I just might have to go back to the pumpkin for two months!

 

I see a lot of guys saying it's the small carriers that are messing up rates. I have to disagree. (Yes I already know there are expectations and cheap haulers) From what I've seen its the mega's who have driven the rates down, over & over & over again. In the 90's I worked for a small company that ran dedicated for office depot. After the contract came up, JB came in and beat our rate by 2/3rd's.
Keep in mind I haul tankers, but we just picked up 6 more lanes due to Langer & Schneider unable to offer any sort of service. This past week I had 2 new customers tell me horror stories about production lines being shut down on numerous occasions due to mega carriers.
Not to pick on SNI, but they are the absolute rock bottom rate #####'s in tanking. Followed closely behind are Langer, Heniff & QC.

 

To be fair i have heard the same thing about the SNI tanker rates. Some locals in my town told me they were run out of the facility here years ago because they were depressing rates so bad. Your point is taken.

 

lol. My thought exactly. There has to be some sort of early termination fee, right?
