Ya im here at 595. What a place, reminds me of the bar scene in Star Wars. I hurried down so I could complete a 34 hour break before Monday, which ends at 630am -so that still allows 2.5 hours for traffic on Monday morning.

I don't haul freight so I know nothing about trucking lanes. The specialized hauling we do is 99% deadhead back to home anyway, so I don't keep up with where freight is moving. I do know that everybody says FL is a black hole. I would think there would be freight coming out of the ports to haul out of FL, am I wrong?

Well after my Miami unload, I was immediately sent empty all the way up to Jacksonville. Over 300 miles. So maybe Miami doesn't have much freight. Don't know. Jacksonville has a Johns Manville factory that ships roofing foam 24/7 to everywhere. Many trucks here in line.

miami doesnt have much loads, usually i go empty to tampa or orlando area but not Jacksonville... there are usually loada from tampa port pays very little. also there are alot of truck parking places in miami area one of them is called " metro dade and parking services" and closest to downtown and beaches. there were also lots of flatbeds on monday and Tuesday bc including myself and at least another 99 fellows hauled mats from north so... but its always hard to find a good paying load in fl if you dont know shippers or a good broker

What I've noticed about Miami is its just not designed for 53' trailers. Anywhere. Usually I sleep at the receiver, and I've never taken anything out except plants/ flowers, and there are little Cuban eat 'em up joints with parking for about a dozen trucks in the middle of the miles of nurseries.
That 595 place I think I went by, and its beyond a hole if its the same place I'm thinking of. Looks real easy to get in and out of too lol.
