Been studying the AZ book for about a week and a half and been taking the online tests. Concentrated on the areas where I was failing. Wednesday night was scoring in the 90% range so felt confident. Went to the MVD this morning but had to go back home to get my SS card and my passport to prove my citizenship. Returned and started the test. A lot of the questions were different from the online tests. You have to score 80% correct. The way the computer is set up as soon as you get 80% correct or 20% wrong it moves on to the next category or kicks you off so found myself watching the number of questions answered hoping not to get kicked off. 50 questions on general knowledge 25 on air brakes and 20 on combination vehicles. Quite tense but so relieved when I was finished and PASSED flashing on the screen. Contacted my recruiter and set a date for Nov 21 to start my training.

Oh my. That's awesome! I'm so proud of you! Which facility will you be going to? Oh dang... You're leaving right before Thanksgiving...but you'll be having home time to get your CDL before the 2 week one on one training right around Christmas. Please be careful. Keep us updated. Don't loose touch during training. We're a rooting for you!!!

Training period is not a problem for me. Gilbert AZ is a suburb of Phoenix where I am doing my training. I'll be home every night including thanksgiving. Will see what happens around Christmas when I would be going out on the road with my trainer. He/she will maybe have that time off which would mean I start that part in the new year. But all that's just in my head and not Roehl time. Will keep updates going here.RoseWild Thanks this.

I've got a phone interview on Monday with Roehl. My list of questions for them grows each day. If they want me I'm going to see if I could get pre-screened on their physical ability tests before actually going to school. I can just picture being there on the first day, having quit my current job, only to be sent home. On BP meds and just worried it may get too high during testing. I know I can pass dot physical as I've done it many times for my current employer.
RoseWild Thanks this. -
Hey there PizzaGuy! That's the same thing that worries me. That's why I'm waiting until I know I can physically exert myself and keep the BP where they want it. Good luck on your phone interview. The recruiter I have is pleasant as punch! If I had any wisdom about tbe interview to pass on to you, it would be... "They really appreciate your honesty. Honestly."
