Looking at picking up a Manac 48 ft flatbed this week, 2016 model. Anyone pulling the Darkwing around, how do you like it?

Don't have one, but up here a lot of the Quebecois Camionneur's run them, right popular trlr......

French Canadian for truck driver....The guys seem to like them, but I've never run one....Hopefully one of the camionneur's will respond to the thread...

Good for lumber and general freight. If your careful with them they're ok. See quite a few banged up on the back from doing dock work.

Saw my first one today in mpls! Though to be fair, i wasn't looking before now.... big arch in them, but looks solid

We have a bunch of them. They seem to be a nice trailer. I may or may not have had 51,000 lbs of counterweight on one and it still had a good arch.
MJ1657 Thanks this. -
I was going to chime in but I wasn't sure the op was asking about the same model you guys have, I'm not sure what model they are. But yes I thought they were good trailers, we even had some tri axles with pin on 4th's that were pretty stiff.4mer trucker and MJ1657 Thank this.

The Darkwing is what they call their all aluminum flatbed with polished frame rails now. Rated 60k lbs in 4 ft. It's a 3 peice main beam riveted together instead of welded.
johndeere4020 Thanks this. -
We tried a new 2014. Does the job just fine. But we won't be buying anymore. Compared to our reitnouers and macs doesn't hold up as well. It's nick name is beer can. But a beer can might be made of thicker aluminum.
cnsper and whoopNride Thank this.
