Hi, I am a newbee. I will be going to school late october at JTL in Omaha, and probably work for Werner Trucking Company, which is okay by me. I looked at the pay that Teams get, and was wondering if there is a matching service for teams. I have very little in the way of property, and might like to make some good money as a team driver for a while. Can someone direct me to a place where I might find a fellow trucker who wants to drive as a team for a while? Thanks. Gita

Not sure if there is a team matching service. If you are a female. I did see a couple of females on this forum looking for a team mate. I will look around for the posts and paste the thread in here.

Hope this helps you. Good luck and be safe out there....

Many drivers consider team pay only acceptable for husband and wife teams . Team drivers do NOT make twice as much as solo drivers on a truck . Then you have the issue of home time for drivers in different households . Think about drivers with 2 families and how time is taken of for birthdays , holidays , etc . The new HOS causes problems for a lot of drivers . You are required to take 8 CONSECUTIVE hours in the sleeper berth . Any time spent in the truck is either on duty not driving , driving , or sleeper berth . If you are in the passenger seat you are on duty . Many teams split the shift 10 hours on , 10 hours off (at least that's how they log) . Just know what you are getting into .
