Just so you know all states have some form of move over/slow down law.

Further more, it's just basic safe driving to do so.

    A new CDL is gold.

Judging by my co-workers you can get a good job even if you are 1) socially inept 2) borderline psychotic of even 3) mentally handicapped.

Just don't hit anything or do anything to jeopardize that license! Seriously.

And move over or slow down when there is a vehicle stopped on the shoulder.

Rusty Trawler and Lepton1 Thank this.

I thought of the OP this morning as I am unloading a load of tools for an offshore oil rig, going on a barge. You not only want to get ALL your endorsements, you should also get your TWIC card. You live in a port city. Access to many ports require a TWIC. With that in hand more doors open.

Appreciate your thinking of me. I do have my TWIC it was recommended prior to my thinking of going back to pursuing trucking as a career.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

There is always driver demand all over the place but that is really meaningless.

Good drivers, those who are professionals will always work if they want and the one thing is they work at jobs that are not often advertised or are what are offered to others who are just ... drivers. One adage is good drivers are hard to find but harder to keep holds true.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Passport or passcard will help also, it will show them you have done your home work, have everything needed besides a job and thats why I am knocking on your door
