    Sure..Good Idea.

    just a quick story here......

Had a friend that drove for himself based out of Indiana- Straight shooter- Ran a tight ship with his 1 truck.

A few years Back 2013- He retired- As soon as he Notified the Frickin IRP-IFTA depts. that he No Longer is registereing his Truck- BOOM Here come the Audits- Guy can't even Retire in Peace.

And Yes, He was Current and Correct on every filing- Every Year.......(16 years in business)

This is just the Product of a state that May have Tantrums When they Lose out on registrations.

Same here. To have to do billing and collection, some companies are very slow but do pay eventually. Subhuling was much easier.

Hello, I am actually the Operations Manager at Silver Trucking LLC. Without going too much into detail on this particular case, I would like to give our side of the story. This Owner Operator contacted us to lease on to us. We informed him that our Cargo & Primary Liab. is about $200 per week, depending on the drivers record and to rent a trailer from us would cost him $175 per week and we would cover maintenance and insurance on the trailer. We also informed this Owner Operator that we can give him another option that would be 75%/25% and we would cover the Primary Lib, Cargo, and Trailer. Once all was agreed we instructed him to go get a drug test done and that we would contact his previous employers. He asked us how long it would take, and we told him less then 1 week from that day. He didn't like our answer that is when he accused us of stealing from him.

Sorry in advance if anything we have said is against forum policy, we will edit the post if needed.

    Thank you

    Last_over_hill Thanks this.

That's yet to be seen. The company is just now responding two months after the OP made the thread. Also they didn't mention anything about making the OP pay for their own drug screening. Care to elaborate @beno95 ?

To be honest with you, we don't normally spend all day online looking for reviews of our company. I happened to accidentally see the posting while searching for our website on google. That is the reason for the delay. As far as your other question, well we do have a policy where any potential owner operator must reimburse us for pre employment testing. I've seen owner operators look for new carriers to lease on, and after test is scheduled and paid for they never show up and never answer their phones. We do this to fish out the ones that are NOT serious. Once an owner operator is leased on all drug and alcohol testing is paid for by us (randoms, etc.), in some cases an owner operator may be out of our network of approved drug testing facilities in which case we have to either get the owner operator in our hometown to test, or we have to set up an account which can cause confusions and complications. I will not go in detail on this owner operator as it would be unprofessional of me, but I just wanted to give our side of the story.
