I'm trying to determine if it's an ATS issue causing you to regen more. Possibly a leaky doser block? In addition, when's the last time you got service done? Maybe your valves need adjusting. I'm wondering if it's a deferred maintenance issue. Maybe even as simple as an air filter? Are you pulling more than 18" H2O?

The dashboard will not show higher mpg because of leaky doser block. Leaky doser block will increase DOC inlet temp value. If he has Scangauge installed and programmed he will notice that . Heavy leaking doser block will pop up fault code-High DOC outlet Temp and eventually will destroy Aftertreatment box completely.

he better check the delta p sensor's ports. They get clogged and cause high mpg plus high def usage. ECM tries lower NOX level by sending more def into 1-box.

That's actually a good point. How are you determining your MPG? Off the cluster or doing it by hand with total miles per gallons of fuel to fill up...

For delta P sensor...a good tale tell is a "turbo lag" feeling with higher gears. Lack of power...or delay for that matter.

I trust my truck's dashboard because every 2-3 mount I calculate the mpg manually and I see very little difference. why I mentioned delta p because there is special service bulletin about clogged ports , high mpg and excessive def usage for EPA10 DD15. I don't know what is wrong with his truck. could be turbo, could be cracked CAC, could be bad valve on high pressure pump....

    Sorry, I didn't ever reply.

Did you take off your delta P sensor and clean it at all? Should be pretty crusty with carbon. How's it look? Post a pic?
