I looking to get back into trucking again. I tried it OTR a few years back but didn't like living away from home for weeks on end.
I'm wanting to give tanker a try now, Anyone know any good tanker companies that have dedicated or regional?
I have a valid CDL so i wont need training.
Tanker companies that hire with less than a year of experience?

I'm at A&R, it's dry bulk tanker, but it's not bad at all. I'm in Parkersburg WV and we stay busy. Some terminals aren't as busy, but others are. I like it here a lot. They got rid of the former Schneider guys and have new upper management from within the company. Guys from the Bettinger days, so it should be a good thing.

So you haven't driven for a couple years? If that is the case you may find it hard to land a job without a Refresher course..... Of course there is probably a small company who will hire you. -

I'm at .50 CPM loaded, .32 empty. That part kinda sucks. $45 to load, $45 to unload, anything after 2 hrs load and unload is $20\hr and you actually do get paid for it. (As long as u do paperwork right). I'm home almost every weekend, and a time or two during the week. Some guys are home every night or every other night. Equipment wise, some old some new. I have a T-660 that I love. 67 mph is it though. I usually bring home $900-1000 a week. One week I did $1500, on the other side my worst week was $550 but I was sick that week.

I also recommend dry bulk. I'm a former gas hauler and I make much more money and the benefits are top notch. I'm with a union shop and home everyday. I'd look into local cement companies and see have they have their own pneumatic trucks or watch the names on the doors of the trucks that come into those plants.
