What type of trucks are you guys driving as company tanker drivers? I was told nearly all new hires were being put in automated now, but the recruiter wouldn't say which make. Are they Cascadias or T-680's?

I don't believe that I've ever seen a Kenworth on the Bulk side. Maybe they have some now but mid roof Cascadias are the norm.

For awhile they had Columbia gliders, but those are being sold off and it's all Casscadia's. Schneider is going to be all auto on van & Intermodel, but I don't think bulk is getting autos because of the pto setup. (I could be wrong about the pto setup and if can be matched to the auto)

From what I hear almost all Bulk trucks are now auto. They were moving them in back when I quit so I am sure they are almost done now. Every company truck on the Bulk side will be a Cascadia.

there should be a good amount of 10 speed bulk trucks still in service, they just started phasing out the short nose cascadia. if newer drivers are being given the automatics, it's because the experienced drivers are not giving their trucks up until they have no choice. i think all of the 27xxx series are 10 speeds. the newer white and platinum trucks are all automatics, the exception being some TE trucks that will have a 10 speed, but they are rare.. and some of the orange trucks, they will start with a 1.

My truck was 27994 and it was a 10 speed.
