That of course is only your opinion. May you someday need a placard and then you will understand it.
What do you think of P/FJ's new policy of removing handicapped truck parking?

A couple quick thoughts on this, I know a guy that is missing a leg that drives a tow truck, and have seen a pic of a guy missing a leg tying down a open deck load. We have Handicap parking tags in both our cars because my mother in law, who lives at my house, has limited mobility, has nothing to do with my wife and I and before anyone starts their stupidity we don't use it unless she is with us. Just a couple reasons why there should be on or two HC spots IMHO

I try to force myself to move and get honked at by other drivers for not moving fast out of the way of a speeding truck. -
I'm not handicapped but my service dog is and this broke his heart, now Bingo wants a service cat to comfort him.
RedRover, supersnackbar, Studebaker Hawk and 2 others Thank this. -
Maybe you could go and ask why they are driving a truck but are handicapped? I mean until you know their story, why are you making accusations about a persons health condition? Clearly they did their part, went through the proper channels, someone said your handicapped because something unfortunately happened and now they are handicapped. Some more than others obviously.
I just find it disrespectful to those people to lump them all together without knowing anything about them.
As far as passing the dot exam, that's a joke of a test and you and I both know it.12 ga Thanks this. -
Im actually handicapped. (Deafness etc) but you wont know it looking at me. I get so bullheaded stubborn and mean when someone says I cannot... or no I can't.. grrrr. I'll leave him handicapped... lol.
KillingTime, 6daysontheroad and tucker Thank this. -
What about those of us that arthritic issues? Gout? RA? Among other things? Yeah I have gout it hurts like a mo-fo.
I have a handicap permit, I only use it if I am having gout issues with a foot or knee. Does that mean I can't drive a truck anymore? I will stick up for those who need them.
If it hurts bad enough I need to use it i will. Otherwise i park wherever I can legally park. -
Not to mention it's perfectly fine for say a wife that is disabled, but rides with the husband that is a trucker. So she should have to walk from the back of the lot just so there is a very, very slight chance there is that last spot you need because you can't trip plan?
classic_150 Thanks this.
