I'm averaging $1.78/mi dispatched ($1.55/mi averaged out for all miles put on the truck since purchase) which is fine for 62%, its just that the downtime keeping me off the road is cutting into the earning potential. If I keep the insanity going, next year will be much better, I wont have to buy another set of tires, or 5th wheel, or replace the clutch again, etc etc.

Also that 35k net figure includes deductions for everything I've spent. My after fuel and std deductions (plates, insurance, etc) net is closer to $60k ytd.

Well I hope things get better for you, but at least you had the money to fix all those things and still turn a profit. Hopefully things are all set with the truck so you can roll.

Thanks, its definetly been a learning experience lol. I do kinda enjoy sitting in the shop working on things, the company mechanic has been very helpful. It just kills me when I have to go to an outside shop and get raped with the $100-130 labor rates.

also I want to hear about QC if you are going with them. I see them all the time up here. I think they deliver methanol to Pioneer and latex to skowhegan.

Where doesn't Nestle need help hauling water. I had a Hartt driver come up to me in Auburn while I was fueling last Sunday. He was trying really hard to get me to leave my current job to come over. To be honest I have thought about it. It pays more than what I'm doing now, hauling hazmat.

Just have to put up with the crap of nestle as far as rules, with hartt you have to follow some of the slowest and dumbest drivers, pay is good , yes and plenty of work if you want extra to pad your paycheck.

No ending really, still driving. Once this truck is paid off (shooting for May) then I'll trade it in for something more reliable.

I had a rough start to 2017 with the truck dead and me broke, but I got through it and am getting back to where I need to be financially. The last 6 weeks I've been super busy and the truck hasn't #### the bed so I'm making money.

I ended 2016 with a gross of $99,533.10, after co. deductions (fuel plates permits ins misc) it came to $67,859.38
I had $23,000 in repair costs, $9,000 in truck payments, and what felt like a billion dollars in tolls.

So no, I did not make any money, and did a lot worse than when I was a company driver.

This year is going much better, even though January into February was very bad. I had to replace a radiator and then had a few more breakdowns that put me out of action for about 3 weeks total.
So far I've grossed $43,318.61 and that doesn't include another +/-$5500 that's pending. Fuel+Deductions bring me down to $28,768.66
Repairs are currently at $11,000 but shouldn't go any higher other than regular maintenance until I get rid of this truck. Tolls are way down for me too, something like $500 ytd vs $750/mo for 2016.
