I was wondering if anyone can give me an idea, of wear I can mount a big radio (Galaxy 99v and an Amp) in a 2007 Western star. As you know in the older trucks you have limited space. The over head console is to small. I was thinking of having a cabinet made to mount on the floor under the center of the dash. Have any of you done this? Can you please post pictures and ideas? Thanks

One of the trucks I have I had a bracket made to hold a ham radio (Icom 7000).

It is made to use the defroster vent screws for the back side and used the right dash panel to anchor it to the dash. It puts the radio at an angle because of the lack of depth with the WS dash, it doesn't obstruct the view of the fender spots or the right side window.

    Pretty simple but also effective.

The mount has been in the truck for a while now and has had no issues at all.

Sorry I can't post a picture of it, but you can get an idea what I'm talking about.
