I pretty much counter every load, before they had counter option enabled I just declined or accepted, got dispatched then immediately mac 22 they would either remove or reschedule. I base my acceptance on the area I am going to at the time of delv or after if it's going to have parking for my break. Most my issues are because of this, I see the accident messages daily and shake my head. I know most were because they accepted tight loads or loads delivering late in a low parking area and screwed up with the worst parking spots or none at all. Safety first, loads when I get there!

The 'Counter' option is a great thing. It allows you some measure of control.

No need to get frustrated about things...
Just put the numbers in that you want.

And how about Jimmie Johnson at Homestead, and that Hail Mary for the 48 team!
One of only 3 drivers in the history of NASCAR to win 7 championships.
Dale Earnhardt and Richard Petty are the other two.

And I don't think he is done yet.
In his 15 years in the Cup series he has come away with 7. Nearly 50%.
No other driver has even come close to that record.
No other driver has had as many in a row either. 5.

One more and he will be the true King of NASCAR drivers.

    Well, for some time anyway.
But that bar he has set already is pretty hard to beat.

I delivered in Tracy, CA this morning and they want me to pick up a load at IKEA in Lebec at 2330.
Well... no way. But since it is pre-loaded and has plenty of time because of Thanksgiving my DM said picking it up in the morning would be OK, even though there is no pick up window.

So I'll be headed to Salt Lake City for a Friday morning first stop delivery. The final is on Saturday at 0330, not far away.

I'm still trying to get that BOL issue worked out.
The issue of my empty trailer being taken by another Swift driver as I slept at a Sam's in Salt Lake City, with my copy of the BOL inside the trailer.
After 2 weeks I finally called the CSR myself. She said she would request a copy from the customer and scan it in for me.
I wonder how long that will take. I don't like being off accelerated pay because of this.

I'll be driving tomorrow, headed to SLC.
Not where I want to be, but where I need to be.

But then, I never try to get home time during a holiday.
I'll get home a bit before Christmas to make that big turkey dinner.

So I get to my first stop this morning. No one is there yet.
    I wait.
People show up, but the receiving door is never unlocked. So I ring the bell. Several times.
    No one comes.
It is now well after 0700, my delivery time.
So I go in through the side door and see 4 guys standing around talking. I say, I have a delivery.
One guy says he will get her...
When he comes back I am told to dock in door 1. I do. I did that.

A bit later a girl/woman/female comes out and is asking for help getting the load lock off. I try with no luck, so do a couple other guys - much stronger guys than me, by the way.
And it was not my lock. It was placed by IKEA during shipping this preloaded trailer.
They use the fork lift to lift one side of the lock, and finally remove it.

Then I am told that they don't see their 3 pallets at the rear of the trailer.
    Oh.
And because of the possible liability they will not unload/reload the trailer to find their stuff.
So I call a DM who calls CSR, who lets me wait for a couple hours.
There were conversations between me and CSR during this time, but no one at the final IKEA delivery could be reached. Hence the wait.

    Long story short...
    Really?
    Short story long...

The IKEA DC loaded the two stops in reverse order of delivery.
So I deliver the last load first tomorrow morning at 0315, then go back to deliver the first one at 0700 - exactly 24 hours later.

CSR was nice about it, even offering to t-call the load to get me on something else.
But I didn't want to burden another driver with a 0315 first stop, so I said I would keep the load as planned.
I get one extra stop out of it for that last unload at the first unload point.

    inkeper Thanks this.

3 hours for my 0315 unload at IKEA this morning.
They had some damaged items from improper loading and it took them extra time.
Then about 10 minutes at my last stop.

Then I went to the terminal to pick up a load headed for Tracy, CA.
My fuel route had me going I-80, but I'm going I-15 to avoid the winter storm that is headed this way.
The route is only 10 miles longer so it wasn't a problem with the DM I spoke to at JV.
