So I am considering becoming a truck driver and I have been reading about suspended licenses. I had a license suspended last year for not paying a ticket. The license has been reinstated successfully. I am wonder if this will be an impediment to getting a CDL and or a job in the industry? Thanks.
Will a past suspended drivers license prevent me from getting a job?

Why 2 posts for the same question
-
I tought I put the questions in the wrong group
-
Yes and no,i had my license suspended for a full year for not having insurance and was hired by a mega and a local trucking outfit but also denied employement by few others.your work history and how u represent urself also company policy are as important as ur driving records
-
IT may be more about the original ticket rather than the suspension
-
Yeah just getting the ticket last year will definitely matter what the ticket was for. Like a 15 over speeding ticket on top of that suspension will really hurt.
-
How long ago was the ticket?

6 months ago suspension 4 months ago paid 4 months ago reinstated 4 months ago.

There's companies that will hire you.

So was your license suspended last year? Or was it 6 months ago?
And what was the ticket?
