Is US Xpress a bad place to drive for

I don't know if I go as far as to say a checkered past maybe a scratched past. The only other issues that could be working against me would be a number one I got my CDL back in March of 2013 and haven't done anything with it yet so there's no experience there although back in 14 I ran a 10 speed tandem dump truck pulling a 35-foot flatbed trailer with a paver machine roller machine and a skid steer loaded on it. And even though I need a Class A to drive that companies won't recognize it as experience. Issue Number 2 was a bar fight. That was 16 years ago though but a very serious charge. I was looking at 25 years but I beat my case but that still on my record when companies check my background. Also it comes down to me having to take a refresher course so I have that also. I've been applying and researching for a decent amount of time and it just boils down to me having to go with whoever is going to set me up with that Refresher and then switching companies down the road
