That's not too bad. I've been averaging 3400 to just under 4100 a week in a company daycab on E logs, 32 cents a mile, not getting rich here but the bills are paid. Going to have to get another truck but thats not a big deal either. Not sure what I want to get yet, been looking at Cascadias, more peterbilts of course, one w9 down in Houston. Weighing pros and cons ya know.

Some of the places we go to can be a bit tricky with a hood truck, but it's doable. I've got a Cascadia but miss my 387 Pete. If I bought another truck I'd get a KW T-680 or a 579 Pete. If you get a heavy truck like a 379 or a W-9 you may have to play the fuel game because they like us to load 23tons.

One thing I hear new drivers complain about is not liking forced dispatch. It's not completely forced, you tell them where you don't want to run and when you want home, but they don't offer you a choice of loads very often either. I'd always been an O/O running ltl so I never really got to choose mine before, made it a non issue for me.

Yeah I know what you're talking about on the fuel game. In my 97 379 I could only get 22 to 22.5 on it. I don't mind cascadias, they're pretty comfortable. I actually found a pretty good deal on one locally. '12 Midroof, right at 500k, DD15 with a 10 speed, 3.36 rears, all new virgin tires, 4 new Alcoas on the back. No Apu or inverter but at 39,000 it's hard to pass up. A full delete and a little more work and it will be perfect.

Yeah I understand. But as far as I'm concerned about the dispatch, those miles pay all the same. I'd like to stay out of the North East and stick to the Midwest and south. But if I need a load and northeast is all they have, I'm not going to go hungry.

I'm looking to get mine deleted as well. Found a guy just over the AL line close to GA that'll do it. I was told $2500. I'm still thinking about it but a Mile or so more per gallon is pretty good

There was a shop just south of Little Rock that had advertised it on a billboard. That was a couple years ago though. This one I'm looking at has a huge muffler with catalytic converter on the back of the bunk. It looks like it's 500 pounds or better. Will be getting rid of all of that before I put it to work. Order some different exhaust from truck pro over in North Little Rock. Thinking about a kw Y pipe and a pair of dynaflex 7's up the back like the older fld's. Who says you can't make a cascadia cool? Lol

That would be awesome

I wonder if they'd let me bring on my 97....

As long as it's not just a put together truck and it looks good they will. They'll ask you for pictures of it. You'll be on a 3 month inspection though. Anything 2010 or older has to be inspected every 3 months, 2011 and newer is every 6 months.
