I forget - you runnin' a 379? that's suspiciously close to my MPG this past couple loads (now that I have a better tractor, I'm not happy getting 5, I'm groovin' on 6.7). Still a 379, but a happy 379. I've already told Danny I don't want to give it up.

Tolls - that's one thing I wish May would do - though I don't know the costs involved. I'm just wishing it as a driver. Most toll roads have electronic tickets these days - kinda like Prepass..

It seems to me that it would be a moderately good thing to pop for one or two of these gizmos (per truck) for the more common toll roads ) I-70 between KC and Topeka, I-80 east of Chicago (. I've only been down the I-80 corridor (Chicago to Boston) once.. with my trainer. If memory serves, that was nearly $200 in tolls. A bit harsh on the driver, even though he's reimbursed. Might even make bookkeeping easier (and, thereby, cheaper)

When I was with my trainer I think we went through about 300-350 in tolls.
We had to pay alot to get the load there then we had to pay to get to the next load then to get back out man it adds up fast.
I did not spend any money to get to kc because I was in Nebraska at the time I had to pay a few bucks to comeback to the Denver area with my load due to my routing.

well i arrived in New York, cost 67.oo to get here now i dont have enough to get out without going back to a ATM.

still wait'in on a load assignment, i figured it would be at the same place i del. too but nothing yet.

on my last fuel up i got 7.o mpg, although the q/c says 7.5, not all that accurate, i guess the new codes they downloaded def are better for the fuel mileage.

miles have not been so good lately, but i'm hanging in their.

You keep telling us your mpg, but what kind of miles are you getting each week?

379's are dinosaurs. They ride good but they start sagging and the tanks drag on the railroad tracks. They suck to sit behind while the driver tries to back into a dock or parking space. They are not aerodynamic and waste fuel. and have no room inside. When I worked at May they had a steady stream of those 379's getting fairings and bumpers fixed .

I was lucky and got a frt shaker that was not even governed and I routinely would get 7+ mpg unless the load was heavy and then it would drop to around 6.2 for the trip. Loved the 13 on the hills and the fact that the frt shaker dealership was right across the street from the term in Brooks.

If you miles are bad now (under 2500 a week). Wait till winter.

My friend who quit them after a year just got another call from them wanting him to come back and that they had plenty of miles etc.. He told them they had their chance and no thanks.

Thats funny Danny is calling me now too.
He is the Denver terminal manager now.
He called last Monday and then again Friday.
I explained to him on Monday that I wanted to wait until the new year and he is telling me that if I wait too long I will need a refresher.
The only problem I had was with my DM and getting hometime, calling me numerous times a day even while on the few days I had of hometime, and with the pos that I was assigned it was a freightliner with turbo issues.

Ask Ol Danny Boy if it's a rumor or if they've actually gone to start out at 28cents now.

The website still says .30cpm but I may be able to get back in at my old rate of .32cpm I have not asked yet.
If they were going to lower the pay the website would be changed it changed while I was in training.
My driver code and password is still active on the driver recap part of the website.
If he wants me back that bad he will do what he has to so he can get me back.
I will not drive for .28cpm for that kind of pay I might as well go to work for swift, jb, ffe, lisa, etc or just stay home and be broke.

Did they at least reimburse you both for the money spent?

How can you be broke while you are gainfully employed? Are they one of the bad companies that are posted on here? Is .32cpm good? Do they pay for all other time by the hour so you don't loose money sitting for them? I am not talking about your 10 hour rest period either.
