Do you remember the egg saga of two summers ago? By god, half of our commercial accounts at GFS are generic mom and pop family restaurant type places you know the kind. The places that do a lot of breakfast and lunch. Those places were all screaming because of the high cost of eggs and we had a hard time getting certain egg products in like liquid eggs and the cost of a case of eggs was way expensive. all that has come down now, but sounds like it's going to start up again.

We had the same thing down here in brought 25 cases into an account and the owner took a look at the invoice and I had to wheel them right back out the door.... I wasn't amused

:scratch:Last story of the day and then I have to go to bed, today I was in a spare truck while my truck was getting a starter motor put in it. Anyhow, ha-ha this spare truck I was in was actually the first truck I was ever assigned and it was junk when I had it and now it's even worse, fleet must have forgotten about it because it should be on the sale line with the rest of our International left over junk heaps.

Anyhow, this truck has no door entry handle on the drivers door no handle at all it's completely gone. So you have to leave one of the smokers windows open because you cannot operate the drivers side door from the outside at all. Makes getting into the truck a real pain.

Anyhow, trucks an absolute disaster on the inside when I had it, it was clean now it looks like a rolling tornado. Anyhow sure enough I get to my 3rd stop of the day and lock my self out of the truck :)

Thank God there is another driver in my area on Thursday and he was on his way past me anyhow and he came and resqued me. The first thing he said to me was "Wow look at that piece of SH**." Referign to my truck , then he said "Well your a Gold Club member now, so you can screw stuff up now." Yeah I get into GFS Gold Club which is the highest of awards at GFS and then that same week suffer one break down and also manage to lock my self out of the truck, Really doing good! I am amazed they haven't kicked me out of the club LOL!

Got dumped on with snow overnight here in NY. Would it be too much to ask to shovel a path to your delivery entrance? Fun day for sure!

Why would they do that when we can just plow the way from them with our carts? Had to deal with that on Friday. Only clear spot on their rear deck was where they had opened the door and it had brushed the snow away. When I got to a customer and saw them shoveling and salting the walk I thanked them for doing so.
