Good companies hiring drivers w/ minimal experience?

    Shakin' the bushes a little to see what possible options I may have out there.
    Are there any good companies out there hiring drivers with minimal otr experience (less than 6 mo.)? :biggrin_25524:

    I would almost say look at craigs list and see what there are for local companies to you and see if they will give you a shot. Most of the big companies out there will hire newbie drivers. They will put you into a truck with a so called trainer, and pay you next to nothing and hope that you are broke so they can trap you in their truck. Then they will get you to Team with a driver and say it is for training too.

    Do a lot of reading here, and then do some more. Spend time in the DAC section too, then try and figure out what may work best for you.

    Yeah, I've heard the horror stories of some of the larger companies... wanting you to go into their L/P programs and sticking you. Not going there for sure! Like I said... just shakin' the bushes right now. Thanks for the advice and I will checkout the DAC section and look on craigslist like you suggested.
