Hell yeah it was. When I graduated high school that summer I was going to hitchhike across the country just for ####s and giggles but at my graduation party one of my family members gave me a book titles America's most notorious serial killers from A to Z. And I started reading that book shortly after I think I was into 5th 06 page on the book and at that point I decided that hitchhiking across the country by myself at 18 years old still very green to the world. That it wasn't a real good idea especially with the thoughts of all the Ed Gieans and Dahmer Lake characters that could still possibly be just around the corner or in the next vehicle vet stops to pick me up. Yeah that's all it took and I gave up that idea

 

I know this is getting off topic here a little bit well quite a bit butt if you want to read about a real ####ed-up individual back in the thirties in Germany there was a guy named Fritz Haarmaan and he was known as The Vampire because while he was strangling his victims Not only was he looking them in the eyes but he wouldn't bite their Adam's apple out of their throat most of his victims we are young males between the ages of 14 + 28 and actually when Albert Fish get arrested he had the articles and the newspaper clippings of these individuals escapades over in Germany yeah Albert had them in his pocket

 

When I quit drinking I needed something to do. Went to the library and stumbled onto John Walshs book about his kid getting kidnapped and killed by Otis Toole, Henry Lee Lucas sidekick. Got me started on a true crime journey that continues 15 years later. I've read about all those guys and many more. Fascinating stuff - yep off topic lol

Yeah same here any biography autobiography any and all those serial killer guys I've read a lot about all those guys we have really been getting into the last few years about all the serial killers in other countries. believe it or not I still cannot find a real accurate book on Jack the Ripper I've read about 6 different books about him and they say they have some similar things in each book but the main premise of each book not one of them is similar to the other which just kind of tells me that these authors for these books don't have all their I's dotted and the t's crossed you know but good stuff none the less
