I thought if you taught a man to fish, he could park his own truck?
Anyway. HoS, Insurance, arguments are just splitting hairs, spinning the original topic. What would you legitimately charge, I believe the question was.
There is only one correct answer under any circumstance.
Is it legitimate to charge people to back their trailer for them?

I don't know where your getting most of that garbage but with the exception of handicapped parking places, fender benders and in the states that allow it a business's parking is private unless the owner gives the local police the authority to enforce law in it. There are 48 lower states and 48 different laws when it comes to this issue anyway. -

I back in trailers all the time locally for a furniture store right down the street.
They alllways seem to get the regular foreigner. Even had a Chinese guy last time pulling for jb hunt!!! 2nd time I had ever seen that.
I work for pizza... They call me down when its pizza day and we usually play poker playstation or somin on their TVs and tables.
I keep telling them they should charge a $100 lumper fee to unload their own stuff but they just don't listen.
Be an extra $400 a week they could give to me lol! I asked one in front of them and he said he would tailgate it. Then of course I said "but our insurance doesn't allow that". He goes "you take comchecks?"
I go seeeeee!!!! They don't give a ####!!! Lol I wouldn't do that to a guy that owned his own equipment and # but on someone else's dime public company ....scrrreeewww em.lagbrosdetmi Thanks this. -
I've had to deal with this issue a few times when there were accidents in parking lots. The last time was in April when I was being sued over an insurance claim, the Owner/Operator said my insurance company needs to pay for the damages because it was a parking lot accident on private property but the lawyer who we hired used the stuff my lawyer provider her with and counters with the 'reserve for public use' issue. The case was tossed on those grounds and his insurance company ended up agreeing to pay for damages, plus down time and legal costs. -
When I drove I thought backing was fun. A challenge. A skill to develop. An industrial art. Early on I found that practice made perfect and I never needed anyone to "help" take my fun away. Like many drivers, I nailed my share of tough, tight docks and driveways; I looked forward to them, the tougher and tighter the better. If I had let someone else back in for me I wouldn't have learned anything. Tough backing situations go with the territory. Meet 'em, beat 'em, and move on.akfisher Thanks this. -
