As a Chevy owner, its a habit for me to roll down a window 1/4 of the way before I get out of any vehicle.
In all honesty, in OP's shoes, I'd have done the same thing. If I had to pay out of pocket and replace the window myself, I would. -
That would be macro 43 then 42

I made an error in judgement wanting to get my load there in time. I should have called using the guard phone. But there's no changing what I did. I won't lie about it.

Carry a spare wiper blade with you from now on. Also extra key if possible hide somewhere on exterior of truck. Lesson learned. Also to all who said just swap passenger one to driver side what about the nice groove the bare metal arm will cut into your windshield, didn't think of that huh? Stuff happens live and learn

Go to the shop and have them make you an extra key. Then go to the parts dept. And ask for a couple sets of wiper blades.

LEAVE THE COMPANY NOW!!!! Take the hickey and go to work for one of these companies that hire students. Once that PREVENTABLE gets put on your DAC, you're screwed.
