The dealer's and their shops have the (bulky plastic) OM key blanks. Why have you not tried key shops in the cities? Try calling tow companies or unaffiliated shops to see if they can make you a spare. Call locksmiths around truck towns too.

You can have a key made at a trk dealer just make sure you have the VIN#.

More like under $20.00 .I have never got approval to have keys made but I paid for it too.

I carry a few and have a few stashed, one on the truck.
Locksmith can do them, hardware stores may be able, other places, I like Home Depot, myself.
Dealers and locksmiths can cut from the VIN unless vehicle has been rekeyed, which used to be common practice, so shops didn't need to keep so many keys.
