The CDL school is in their main facility at Marshfield, WI. They'll reimburse it after so many miles. I think they raised the price to like $3200. If you're thinking of getting in now, wear lots of layers. I was there in December and windchills of -30 were a nice day.
-
Thought they had a school on the east coast also, but I do not know for sure. Go to their website. And I believe they raised it again... $3900 is what they told me, for 3 weeks of school.

he's correct. Try abf, starting pay is $19.25 hr in atlanta. Also you can try averitt local, they will also train you. I drove for roehl for 1 year and only grossed a $1ooo paycheck 3 times. I was a regional driver so dont expect to make good money unless your otr with them. Get your expereince and find a job where you can be at home more often with better pay.IRISHGYPSY Thanks this. -
they also have a school in atlanta, ga now. They opened it this year. -
i agree, or a fuel hauling job. I make anywhere from $230-$340 a night. We get paid $20 hr to wait. Also $20 extra to split stores. $25 everynight to start out empty and deadhead to terminal. Hell they even pay $35 to go get the truck washed! I worked for roehl so i know they pay isnt good at all. Abf has a union approved school and they start of at $19.43 hr in atlanta. Call them up 1st! -
try schneider or abf. The pay is better than roehl and you'll have more options at the big orange. There tanker division pays good, lots of extra's. Plus they have a lot of dedicated freight. My brother in law is a freight manger in atlanta for schneider in atlanta thats how i know. Abf will also train you if you have attended a approved school. Averitt will also. Do your homework, dont rush. You dont want to be on the road for 2 weeks and only bring home $600-$700 , thats a waiste of your time -
they do have another school in ellenwood, ga (atlanta). It's new -
I knew they had the course setup there, but last time I was there they hadn't done much with it except the close quarters testing I guess. Good to know they got around to it.

Talk about an exageration, the only time you'll find -30 degree temp in Wisconsin is the wind chill index in late January and February. Average temps now is 75 degrees with a low at nite around 35.
