I have a 2006 379 Pete with a separate bunk heater unit. I am only getting cold air to blow. If I unhook the wire from the temperature sensor in the duct work, the heater goes to full blast hot. Fan speed works on 1234 just fine. I have replaced the actuator, temp sensor, and reastate (hot/cold) knob up on the bunk control panel. I am at a loss for things to try next to try and fix this problem. I think the only other part is the $550 wiring harness/module that is on top of the heater unit with all the wire pigtails attached to it.
Any experience or advice is appreciated.

Inline fuses?

I have not found any yet. I checked all fuses in panel by clutch pedal.

Where does the wire from the temp sensor go to? The problem is the sensor or whatever that wire goes to since the hot air blows when you disconnect it. If you can get a schematic, I can probably help you pinpoint it. Might be a stuck relay inside of the module or something. Try tapping it lightly and see if that does anything.
In the meantime, crack the window a bit so it doesn't get too hot and sleep with it on full blast if you need to.QuietStorm Thanks this. -
All the wires go into a module for the whole wiring harness. This is the only part I have not replaced yet cuz it is $550. Peterbilt tells me they have never sold one, so I hate to buy one just to try it, but im running out of options. Luckily I am in my shop and have some time, cuz this is getting frustrating. I just want to find the issue, so i can get the bed back together and get on to the next project.

See if you can find a schematic for the system, I can take a look to see why it turns on when the wire is disconnected.

Whats the last 6 of the S/N?
I assume you have the new style dash? Wipers on the turn signal?
The wire for temp control is to make the hot/cold dial into a bunk temperature dial. Sometimes they give issues and if you unplug the sensor and leave it unplugged it reverts back to the old style where the hot/cold dial just controls the temp of the air coming out the ducts. We used to unplug them on the cab units as they seem to give better control of the temp that way.
