Brintle's Travel Plaza (Flying J) in is officially my favorite truck stop.

The whole parking lot is nicely paved. There are tons of parking spaces.

I walk in, it smells great.

They have a compass/thermometer combo I've been looking out for.

They carry the Cobra 29 NW LTD CB I've been keeping an eye open for. Yes, i already have a CB that's newer but this is the one i really wanted. I could have went to a CB shop or bought it online but whatever.

There are some pretty ladies working here.

I had an awesome buffet dinner. Meat loaf,mashed potatoes, green beans, hot chocolate.

It's beautiful in NC today.

My second hazmat load in a week.

Overall a good day today. Now to go buy myself some Christmas presents

 

It is a good stop. Restaurant is above average.

 

Is that the one in Mt Airy NC? Fills up fast during the week. And fueling there can be a PITA since drivers can't pull up after fueling and still go inside while blocking the pumps...

 

Yep that's the one! It's my second time here. Last week i came here but just scaled and left. I didn't even go inside the store /restaraunt.

 

It's good to see that the Flying Peelot didn't decide to rip the restaurant out of that place and put in some fast food joints like they've done to so many places they've commandeered.

 

If you hadn't put in the "Welcome to my MIL", people might have thought it was me you're talking about....

Potentially we certainly get out there...Tony in recruiting would have the answer for certain. If you're will to be out for 3 wks at a time I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem.
