Maybe some of you have delivered at this dealer Carvana and can shed some insight about their strict rules about NO STI. I took a couple of cars to deliver here and have other deliveries. I arrived this morning and it's close. Have been sitting here calling the broker who told me there close in observation of the holiday. Since, I have seen three trucks unload and put the keys inside and leave. It's seems there is lots of others since the lot is full. Call the broker again , and told them how come others are allowed he said no one is allowed and they will be consequences when they find out who and I cannot ABSOLUTELY STI. I seen this happen repeatedly at this same location for a while now which leads me to believe there is no consequences. Since I have other deliveries I was thinking of parking the cars at the lot and taking the keys so that I avoid loading and unloading these cars and come back tonight..would this be to risky? And for those who are wondering why I didn't call before, I did but they never answer, not now not ever.

Wouldn't blame you for stopping them and coming back.

The ones you see being dropped are Carvana to Carvana moves. Those CAN STI. They DO NOT allow STI on loads from auctions etc.

Regardless of what the other trucks are doing, if your broker says no STI then it is no STI, otherwise you risk being in breach of your contract with the broker and will end up losing money either in reduced payment for the load or a bunch of made up damage claims. Personally, I only STI at one place (other than inbound auction drops), they are another carrier we share loads with, never have and never will at a dealership, I don't trust anybody with my money and my reputation.

Is it in your contract that delivery was scheduled for today? If so there may be some recourse for layover pay. Either way being this close to a holiday you should always get it in writing that they will be accepting deliveries and also called to verify. Just another reason why holidays are best spent at home.

Back at the dealer with keys on hand. Thankfully I was able to get some work done. Tomorrow daybreak I will get my signature and be out. Earlier I was desperate but you're all right...a contract is a contract. I wish I could afford to sit out the week for the holiday, but that's not an option due to a small contract up North. Hopefully this small hiccup won't get in the way of ringing in the New Year with my family. Thanks everyone for your advise.
Happy New Year to all!!!brian991219 Thanks this. -
I'm about fed up with this sh* t.
By the way, anything this newbie (me) must or should know about loading new Nissan Rogues at a marine terminal?jeff18 Thanks this.
