    Just don't go over 15mph on bare roads or they will shred quickly. Ask me how I know.

    Auto socks have a maximun speed limit of 20 mph. They wear out fast on bare pavement. Thanks, but I will keep using real chains. However, the neatest device I have is a 3 way 18 inch chain tightener. get the chains tighter and they don't wear as much.

    You mean they aren't supposed to slap everything thats closer then 8" from the tire??
