Domonic59 and RavenRabbit Thank this. -
I've yet to hear of a tanker company that will hire anyone with less than 2 yrs experience.

I guess I stand corrected.Chinatown Thanks this.

Some websites aren't up to date and may have "experience required", but all these on the list do hire new grads. Trimac terminal managers have some sway over that in each individual terminal, so it's best to visit a terminal if possible for Trimac.RavenRabbit Thanks this.

I used to work for PTL hauling fuel in vegas and would get asked about tanker companies by new graduates who would drive up when i was unloading. Wish I'd of known this list then. I told everyone of them to go dry or reefer first. Then apply after 2 years.Chinatown Thanks this.

A&R Logistics has a facility in Las Vegas and they've lowered the experience required down to 6 mos. I remember when it was 2 yrs., then dropped down to 1 yr. and now to 6 mos. Now they waive the 6 mos. for military veterans that drove in the service.RavenRabbit Thanks this.

I guess there really is a driver shortage. Too bad it doesn't affect the pay.Last edited: Dec 28, 2016
