Starting a Carrier Company

@Bear135 I'd love to know more - started in 2007 when it was great then next year 2008 everything went to ####, how he survived i'd love to know!

 

Ok, I checked and it's ok for me to post another website on here BECAUSE i am not associated with it in any way other than being a member. I am not a recruiter or anything else. The website is classadrivers.com go to message board, then forum, and under the O/O forum it's the thread titled....."Well I made it out" by Merrick4. It's 59 pages with lot's of great info for anyone wanting to get started, IMHO. It's definitely a lesson in resilience.

 

Have you started reading his post? I never had and did last night, a great read. If you want to skip about half of the post, where he was an O/O and get to the meat where he decides to put somebody in a truck, it starts at post #774. The O/O portion of it is interesting to though, lots of good input from other O/O's. The one gentleman who gave Merrick a lot of advice, Gman, has some posts on here also I think. He's been an O/O for quite a while and seems really knowledgeable.

Anytime. The one gentleman on there, GMAN, I think I have seen a GMAN on TTR also, I don't know if it's the same guy, but he seems to have his stuff together also. Towards the end one of the guys asks if a certain trucking company was his, Merrick, and he declined to say but I looked at it and I think it's his just going off of his postings. It was long but worth the read, IMHO, for anyone looking at not only starting a company, but becoming an O/O too.
