    Hello.
I am trying to get a handle on which states have individual registration/tax ID requirements on top of IFTA, IRP and UCR. I am aware of NY HUT, KYU# and NM Tax ID. While I was looking for their forms on the internet, I was made aware that Oregon also has a special requirement. Then, while I was on this forum, someone mentioned Kansas, but not Oregon!
Does anyone know where I can find all this information, possibly in one place? I really don't want to have to deal with 48 different state agencies...:biggrin_2552:
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

New York did away with HUT.
TN. KY. NM. OR. & AZ. were the only six I knew of before NY. dropped the HUT.

Are you sure you didn't mean Arkansas and not Arizona?

Thank you for your replies. I guess I should have made myself more clear. I will be running out of NH, so any other registration/tax ID would just be for an out of state carrier driving in another state. Also, I downloaded a 2008 NY HUT form, so I'm pretty sure that it is still in effect.
I am going to handle all the paperwork myself (from incorporation to taxes, etc.) and save a bundle of money. The forms are tedious, but I used to be a computer programmer, so I am used to attention to detail. Maybe I should pay someone to take care of the individual state permits though, huh?

FYI: I contacted a company called Blueridge Mt LLC which deals in such matters. They tell me that KY, NM and NY are the only states that require additional permits and quarterly filings. Oregon has a requirement as well, but they only enforce it on carriers that travel through the state more than 10 times a year, and that it is better to get a temporary permit from them if you exceed that.

    RAG Thanks this.
